IND vs WI: Bumrah

Indian team bowling coach Bharat Arun has said that the pace and action of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah of the team make him a dangerous bowler. The Indian team is currently on a tour to the Windies, where they will play the second Test match from Friday in Kingston. In the two-Test series against the West Indies, India has a 1-0 lead. This test will be played at 8:00 pm Indian time.

Before the match, Bharat Arun said, ‘We look at bowling in terms of implementation and not the result. I never look at the outcome. Even after the first innings of the Antiga Test, when we talked, we talked about the implementation. He (Bumrah) was throwing small balls, he needed to put the ball forward. Wickets were not questioned. Bumrah knows this very well.

He said, ‘Bumrah knows the situation and he adapts to every situation in a great way. If you see the length of the balls put in the first innings and the length of the balls put in the second innings, then you will see a lot of difference. He was putting the ball forward in the second innings and so he was getting movement.

When the coach was asked what is it that makes Bumrah a dangerous bowler, he said, ‘He bowls continuously at a speed of 140 km and his action is also a bit strange. Therefore, the batsman has difficulty in catching them. Also, he bowls very accurately. He said, ‘Bumrah has changed his length and this has given new dimensions to his bowling.’

Arun has also supported the captain Virat Kohli’s control of the workload of players. Arun said, ‘Fast bowling is a very difficult thing. Unfortunately, chances of mistake are also less in this. Knowing this, we have started taking care of the fast bowlers, so that their work is monitored and it is ensured that the bowlers stay fresh.
