Imran Government Gives Green Signal To Opposition’s Independence March’ With Conditions

Read Time:1 Minute, 59 Second

The Government of Pakistan is willing to allow the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl to conduct an ‘independence march’ on October 31, provided the march is agreed to by law. The Imran government has said that it has no problem with the ‘independence march’, but Jamiat will have to follow the standards set by the courts. A delegation of Jamiat Ulema met Prime Minister Imran Khan and placed his recommendations before him. After this, on Wednesday, he got the freedom march with conditions. After the meeting, the government decided that the Supreme Court’s decision was interpreted with the green flag on the proposed Independence March.

During the meeting it was decided that “the government, with its conviction of upholding democratic ideals, will allow the proposed independence march if it is interpreted in the judgments of the Supreme Court of Pakistan within the scope of the law and the constitution and Islamabad High Court ”, a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) states. Dawn of a right in the Prime Minister’s Office Stated that in a democracy, the opposition has the right to protest. Our government has a full faith in it. But this movement should be compatible with the decisions of the courts. It should not adversely affect the facilities of the citizens.

Imran Khan called incompetent prime minister

Let me tell you that the major right-wing religious party in Pakistan announced the independence march from October 27 to remove the ‘incompetent’ Imran Khan government. The party blamed the Imran government for the economic crisis in the country. Maulana Fazlur Rahman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, announced this effect on Thursday. Whereas two days ago, the top opposition parties PML-N and PPP opposed any single struggle against the government. It was also decided to call a meeting of all the parties to develop a consensus.

Fazlur Rahman said that ‘this government is the result of fake elections. We will gather at D-Chowk. We are not the people who can be easily dispersed. He further said, “All the opposition parties agree that fresh elections should be held to find out who has the real mandate.” He rejects the notion that he is moving alone. Fazlur said that his party is in touch with all other parties and is taking decisions only after consulting them.
