The Central Board of Secondary Education-CBSE has asked all the students of the board to prepare for the examination from the CBSE syllabus. Every time students of the board have been preparing for the exam from the books of NCERT. But now CBSE has asked the students to read only from the syllabus of their academic session and not from NCERT books.

CBSE always prescribes NCERT books for exams for classes 9th to 12th, but the board observed that it is written somewhere in the books that this information is not intended for examination or evaluation. The board has clearly stated in its notification that this information written in the NCERT books is not applicable for the students of CBSE class 10th and 12th. Students have been advised to prepare from syllabus issued by CBSE.
