In view of the parade at Rajpath on 26 January, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to keep entry and exit gates closed at 4 stations for passengers.

Delhi Metro services on Republic Day: Tightening arrangements have been made in Delhi for the safety of Republic Day 2021. In this episode, the parking of all the stations of Delhi Metro will be closed from tomorrow morning till the afternoon of 26 January. Apart from this, during 26 January (26 January 2021), the time and service of some metro stations have changed. In this regard, the Delhi Metro has issued a notification.

According to Delhi Metro, all the parking of the metro will be closed from 6 am on January 25 to 2 pm on January 26. During this time no car of any kind will be allowed to be parked. The Delhi Metro has taken this step in view of security and issued advisory regarding this.

4 metro stations will remain closed

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to keep entry and exit gates closed at 4 stations for the passengers, regarding the parade to be held on January 26 at Rajpath.

Delhi Metro told that four stations will remain closed in view of Republic Day Parade. On January 26, the entry and exit at the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations on the Samaypur Badli Metro line – HUDA City Center – will remain closed till 12 noon. Apart from this, entry and exit will be closed from 8.45 am to 12 noon at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station.

Delhi Metro has told that the entry and exit will remain closed at the Central Secretariat Metro station, but passengers will be able to change trains here. There will be an interchange between Line 2 (Yellow Line) and Line 6 (Violet Line) at the Central Secretariat Metro Station.

Delhi Police Advisory for Republic Day

Before the Republic Day celebrations (R-Day parade), Delhi Police has also issued advisory. Delhi Police has said that people will be allowed to watch the parade at Rajpath only if they have an invitation card or ticket. The police also said that people below the age of 15 years will not be allowed to participate in the program.

Strict security arrangements

In view of Republic Day, strict security arrangements have been made in the national capital from the ground to the sky. Security personnel have been deployed here. Patrolling has been increased in busy areas of the city.
