It is often heard that money is deducted from the account while transacting through the ATM, but the money does not come out of the ATM machine. If the same happens to you, you can file a complaint online with the bank. If you are a customer of State Bank of India (SBI), then go to the SBI portal and file a complaint online.
What to do if the ATM transaction fails: Many times an ATM malfunction does not make money or there is no cash in the ATM. Usually, when an ATM malfunction occurs, the bank deposits the debited amount back into the account. But if there is no auto-credit, then you should pay attention to some important things.
1) Log in to SBI’s website, then go to its CMS portal.
2) Fill the details like customer type, account number, complainant name, branch code, mobile number, email id, category of complaint, products and services and nature of complaint.
3) After filling all these details, enter captcha code and then click on submit button.
4) After this you will get a complaint number through which you can know the situation. You will also get a complaint number through SMS and email.
According to the bank, the investigation of your complaint will be resolved within 7 days. You will also get a message about what action has been taken on your complaint.
Some other options
Customer Care: You can also complain by talking to the customer care executive. The executive will usually give you a tracking number and note the complaint for investigation. After verification, if any mistake is actually received from the bank, then the money will be returned to your account. Apart from this, you can also complain by visiting the bank branch.
