Film analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted, “‘Bigil’ has grossed Rs 203 crore globally in five days. Thalapathy Vijay continues his run of unbeaten victory.”

According to Times of India.com, the film directed by Atlee Kumar has created a worldwide buzz. The film ‘Bigil’ has been released on almost 4,200 screens. ‘Bigil’ is a sports action film, in which Vijay plays a double role as father and son. As a father he is seen playing the role of a local don and as a son he is the coach of a women’s football team. The actor also underwent training to play the role of a coach.
