Himachal: Death of Soon 7 in Solan accident, 28 removed, safe rescue operation

Solan, ANI A three-storey hotel got landed on Sunday afternoon in Kumahatti, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. There were about 42 people in this building. 30 soldiers of the army stopped to eat here The body of a civilian, including 6 soldiers, has been taken away from the wreck after the accident. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur reached the scene at Sainthal and took stock of the situation. 

Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur described the accident as unfortunate. He said that the rescue operation started immediately after the accident. The order has been ordered to investigate the cause of the accident. According to the information so far, the building was not constructed according to the rules.

Solan’s deputy commissioner KC Chaman told that a total of 28 people, including 17 soldiers, have been evacuated from the rubble so far. There are still 7 feared trapped jaws in the debris. The search and rescue operations are expected to be completed by midday today.

The NDRF team arrived from Panchkula on the spot was engaged in rescue operation. Solan’s SDM Rohit Rathore and other administrative officials are on the spot. Rescue work is in progress in their presence. The reason for the collapse of the building has not yet been disclosed.

Please tell that the incident happened around 4 pm on Sunday afternoon. The hotel located on the Kumarhati-Nahan highway in Solan, about 45 km from Shimla, was destroyed due to heavy rains. At the time when the incident happened, the soldiers of the army were waiting to eat. Suddenly the building collapsed during this period. The injured have been taken to the hospitals for medical treatment, but all others are being tried to save. It is being told that this building was very close to the road and on the other side it was sloping.
