Read Time:2 Minute, 17 Second

The hearing on the application filed by Swami Avimukteshwaranand in the Gyanvapi Masjid case will be held in the court on Tuesday afternoon. In the application filed in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Kumudalata Tripathi, he had demanded regular darshan-worship, bhog-aarti of Shivling found in Gyanvapi premises during the survey. Swami Avimukteshwaranand has also protested in the past and demanded regular worship of Shivling found in Vajukhana. However, on the request of the district administration, he ended his dharna and moved the court. Now the hearing in this matter is to be held in the court on Tuesday.

A   day earlier, on Monday, the court, finding the suit worth hearing, set aside the objections of the Muslim side, and gave the decision to the Hindu side to continue the hearing of the case. Now on the very next day, the hearing is going to be held on the matter regarding the worship of Shivling found in the Vajukhana and the enjoyment along with the worship.

Who is Swami Avimukteshwarananda

After the death of Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopananda Saraswati, his successor is Swami Avimukteshwarananda. The chief of Avimukteshwaranand Jyotishpeeth Badrinath, a native of Pratapgarh district, has been declared a day ago. Swami Avimukteshwaranand was born on 15 August 1969 in Brahminpur village of Patti Tehsil of Pratapgarh. His original name is Umashankar. His primary education took place in the primary school of the village. After that, on the consent of the family, he went to Gujarat at the age of nine and started taking Sanskrit education in Gurukul under the guidance of Brahmachari Ramchaitanya, a disciple of Dharmasamrat Swami Karpatriji Maharaj. After this, after staying in Kashi as the head of Sri Vidyamath, he got involved in religious activities.

Food was abandoned in June

In the case of Adi Vishweshwar Shivling, allegedly found during the survey of the Court Commissioner in Gyanvapi Masjid, Swami Avimukteshwaranand was sitting in the Srividya Math at Kedarghat after sacrificing food and water. They left the monastery at 8:30 in the morning for worship and enjoyment of Vishweshwar Shivling and the police had stopped them from worshiping, citing the matter being pending in the court. After this the main gate was converted into a police camp to stop them in the monastery. As soon as Swami Avimukteshwaranand left the Math, Bhelupur police station in-charge stopped him citing lack of permission. Even after sending the re-approval letter and showing its copy, the police did not let them go ahead. After this Swami Avimukteshwaranand announced to sit in the Math after giving up food and water and sat on a dharna with the disciples. Later, after the plea of religious organizations and administration, the food was taken.
