Gurugram: Seven years later, Palms MVL has not started construction yet.
Gurugram: After seven years of the launch of MVL The Palms, the developer has not started construction yet. In 2012, a homeowner who booked his apartment was promised to be handed over to the units in 2015. However, buyers currently can not see any barren plot as a residential project.
Not only MVL developers distributed the project to Bhiwadi but also Gurugram disappointed buyers of seven other projects.
People who buy apartments in other projects are also not sure when they will get their homes, because the company has stumbled across all its projects.
Amit Daemon, who booked his apartment in the project in March 2013, said that even after investing in the project the buyers not only pay the acquisition fee and rent but also spend money as a legal fee. “It is amazing that the developer considers himself above the law because he does not follow the court’s instructions,” he said.
Most buyers have lost the hope of getting their homes because the project has not yet started. TOI’s Gurugram home buyers have said that they have tried to communicate with all stakeholders in Gurgaon and Delhi in the last two years, but there is no comfort. As a last resort, they took this case to court.
Like the slow, about 400 homebuyers in the project invested by MVL, who laid the delivery deadline by 2015 and later revised it in 2018. However, to date, investors have said that the construction work in the project has not even started. Site.
“We have paid the developer to start with the construction fee” and we have already taken 30-35 percent of the total cost of real estate from all the buyers, but the work on the project site is difficult Varun Sharma, who leads a group of buyers.
Despite many efforts by TOI, the developer did not respond to calls and messages. After registering FIRs to buyers, on March 13, MVL Managing Director Prem Adeeb Rishi was arrested by EOW Delhi. After a five-day remand order, the court Gurugram granted him temporary bail and on July 17, the developer ordered 39 buyers to refund the money with interest. But from a total of 2.25 crores, the developer has deposited only 85 lakhs in the court.
Upon failure of the developer to deposit the balance, the court canceled the temporary bail and issued an unsafe order. Sharma said that the court will hear the matter on Wednesday, where the developer must either deposit the balance or send him to jail.
