Punjab National Bank is going to bring great relief for pensioners soon. He will take his digital life certificate from pensioners at his home. Agent will be arranged for this. In this regard, the bank has sent a letter to all its officials and directed to arrange it. In this way, banks will not have to go round to give pensioners certificates of their survival.

PK Anand, general manager of the operations division of the customer care center of the bank, has also issued orders in this regard to all the officials of the bank in the last week of November. In this arrangement, pensioners will be able to apply online to get the Digital Life Certificate from home. Bank officials have been told about this process through letters. Under this scheme, the agents of the bank will visit the customer’s home to get the certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan app. The app will have a base base finger print arrangement. After taking the certificate in this way, the bank will collect it from the agent. If for some reason the agent could not take the finger print or any other information, he would take it manually.

It should also be kept in mind that the pensioner Aadhaar card is linked to the pension account. The pensioner’s mobile number should also be linked to his pension account. The customer will be given an option to insist on taking the bank life certificate digitally. In this, if customers apply, the agents of the bank will reach the account holder. The agent will collect the pensioner’s Aadhaar number, finger print and other necessary documents. These will be taken in a digital way. If there is a problem in taking them in a digital way, then the agent will have to try for this three times.

After this the agent has to give reasons for the app to fail. Along with this, the customer’s documents have to be taken manually and signed. He will take the papers and photos of the customer from the agent app. He will also give in writing that the photo which was in Aadhaar, the same person is signing himself as a pensioner. The bank officials will take the documents from them and update them in the system. The general manager has also instructed officers and employees of all branches to read this letter properly.

  • This is a very good scheme for pensioners, when it is operational, they will benefit a lot which are difficult to walk due to aging. Sanjay Trivedi, Provincial Deputy General Secretary, Punjab National Bank Progressive Association.
