Dubai, IANS In order to get the job of four Indian women, the agent was taken to Dubai and a bar dancer was made. Now the Dubai Police has sent the women back to India.
These women are living in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Gulf News reported that General Vipul of India in Dubai said that all these women are 20 years old.
Actually, all these women were assured that they would work for an event management company. But, when he reached Dubai, he locked them in one room. Vipul told Gulf News that after this, the women were forced to work in the dance bar.
According to the reports, one of these women managed to send messages to their family via WhatsApp. As soon as the matter reached the Minister of State Vellamwellini Murlidharan, he cautioned the consulate taking this into account, after which the Dubai Police was informed about this.
Vipul further said that he is grateful to the Dubai Police that he got such a strong reaction in the case. He also said that he will write to the Tamil Nadu government about it to take strong action against the agent who sent women to Dubai.
A similar case came up in 2018 too. Even then, at the behest of the Indian Consulate, women were rescued from the dance bar in Dubai. Even then a 21-year-old girl was trapped by saying that she would get a job in a jewelry store in Dubai.
