Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s first death anniversary today, PM Modi, veterans including President paid tribute

Today is the first death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On this occasion, many big leaders of the country are paying tribute to him. PM Modi paid tribute to him by reaching Atalji’s memorial ‘Always Atal’ in New Delhi. Apart from this, President Ramnath Kovind also paid tribute to Atal ji. Let me tell you, former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on 16 August 2018 after a long illness.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National Acting President JP Nadda and other party leaders today paid tribute to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his first death anniversary.

A large program is being organized at Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of death anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s daughter Namita Kaul Bhattacharya, granddaughter Niharika and many other family members also reached there and paid tribute to her. A program of bhajans is going on today at Smriti Sthal of the former Prime Minister, where he is being paid tribute.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee became Prime Minister in 1996 for the first time and his government could run only for 13 days. He became the Prime Minister for the second time in 1998, when his government lasted for 13 months. Became Prime Minister for the third time in 1999 and completed 5 years term. He distanced himself from politics after 2004 due to ill health. Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee was honored with the country’s highest honor ‘Bharat Ratna’ in 2014.
