For the first time in IPL history KKR had won the Super Over
The KKR bowler has now recovered from his back injury and is currently testing his fitness before IPL 2021.
Lockie Ferguson, by the way, is a New Zealand fast bowler. In the Indian Premier League, KKR means Kolkata Knight Riders. However, he has now signed a new agreement with the Yorkshire Club of England. He will be seen playing for this club at the T20 Blast Competition in England, which is to be held in June. That is, the IPL 2021 will end here and the Lockie Ferguson will catch a flight from India to England.
Ferguson, who plays for KKR, is currently eyeing the T20 series to be held with Bangladesh. He can become a part of this series after recovering from back injury. At the moment, he is playing in club cricket to test his fitness.
Yorkshire and Ferguson happy with the deal
England’s club Yorkshire issued a statement on 4 March, describing its deal with Lockie Ferguson. Ferguson himself is also happy with this agreement. He said that he is very excited about it. He has a lot of memories related to England’s county cricket, which has been revived. Locky has also played these leagues for the Derbyshire club in 2018 before playing in the T20 Blast Competition for Yorkshire. He then took 16 wickets in 13 matches for Derbyshire with an economy of 6.64.
Ferguson to be X-Factor – Yorkshire coach
Ferguson is reported to be available for the club throughout the league’s season. Ferguson, who made his debut in 2017, has 21 wickets in T20 International so far. Yorkshire coach Andrew Gayle said that Ferguson’s pace will be an X-factor for us. The pace is very important in T20 cricket. Apart from this, his bowling in Death Overs will serve to further improve our strength.
History was created in the super over for KKR
Lockie Ferguson is the same player who won KKR in a super over for the first time in IPL history on his own. He did this amazing in the last season i.e. IPL 2020. When KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad reached the Super Over, Ferguson put that over. In this super over, Ferguson allowed SRH to score only 2 runs and took both his wickets. In response, KKR registered their first win in the IPL after playing their fourth super over after 11 years. Earlier, in 2009, 2014, and 2019, he had to face mouth in super overs played.
