Shooting at Jamia Millia Islamia late on Sunday night caused panic. The incident is reported to be around 11.30 pm on Sunday night. Protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC, there was chaos among the agitators sitting on a strike at Gate number 7 of Jamia when the sound of firing at Gate number five was heard. Although the police have not confirmed this, the media group of Jamia Coordination Committee claimed to have fired. At the same time, there has been a statement of the Delhi Police regarding firing, saying that no bullet has been recovered nearby. Action is being taken by registering a case. 

The message of the committee says that two young men riding Scooty have fired, one of whom is wearing a red jacket. A video of chaos in front of Jamia in social media is also going viral. However, where and when the video is also not clear. It may be known that a few days ago during a foot march, a minor shot in front of the police, in which a student was injured.

According to the report, one of them was wearing a red jacket while the other one was wearing a red colored scooty. However, no one was hurt in this incident.

University students returned from Jamia Nagar Police Station after the complaint was filed.

– Late in the night, students came out on the road to protest against the firing at Gate number five of the university. 

University students and others gathered outside the Jamia Nagar police station to protest against the late night firing. 

– People are protesting outside the Jamia Millia Islamia campus after the firing incident at the gate number 5 of the university. 2 unidentified scooty horns opened fire near gate number five. The SHO (Station House Officer) is present at the scene and the entire incident is being investigated.

– Jamia Coordination Committee reported that there was a shootout at Gate No. 5 of Jamia Milia Islamia by two unknown persons. There is no loss of life or property in this incident.

Regarding the incident, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said that SHOs are present at the scene, waiting for confirmation and details.

Explain that a few days ago, a student opened fire in Jamia area of ​​Delhi. Students of Jamia Millia, who were marching against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), were shot by a 17-year-old teenager in front of the police. A student at the university was injured in this shootout. In Jamia area, a young man came waving pistols and said ‘take this freedom’, while a heavy police force was deployed in the area. Tension prevailed in the area after this incident. At the same time, after this, a person also fired near Shaheen Bagh. Protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) have been taking place in Shaheen Bagh for over a month.
