FIR Against Oyo Founder And Six Others, Know What Is The Matter

Read Time:1 Minute, 54 Second

A case of fraud has been registered against Oyo Hotels and Homes founder Ritesh Aggarwal and six others associated with the company itself. All of them have been directed to appear before the investigating officer on Thursday. This report has been filed on the complaint of a hotelier. It is alleged that despite the agreement, the company has not paid the room rent for the last five months.

Betz Fernandes, the owner of Hotel Roxel Inn located here, in his complaint said that Oyo had rented his hotel rooms and asked to pay Rs seven lakhs per month in return. Fernandes alleges that Oyo had not paid a single penny since May this year, causing a loss of Rs 35 lakh.

Others against whom the police have filed a report, including Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal, are Rohit Srivastava, head of Oyo South, Madhavendra Kumar, head of business development, and Gaurav De, officers of Oyo Finance Prateek Aggarwal, Manjit Singh and Mrunmay Chakraborty. On the other hand, Oyo Hotels and Holmes said in a statement that our lawyers are looking at the whole case and will take strict action against the hotel as its claim is completely wrong and slanderous.

Explain that a fraud case has also been filed against the CEO of Oyo Company at Sigra police station in Varanasi for non-payment of dues. This is the second case against Oyo in Varanasi within two months. It is alleged that Oyo was not being paid to the businessman under the agreement with the hotel.

Neeraj Singh, director of Ambuj Hotel & Real Estate Pvt Ltd, with Oyo company working in the field of online hotel and lodge booking, had entered into an agreement for booking Siddhartha Hotel in Sigra of his group. It was decided that on booking the room in the Siddharth Hotel, the Oyo Company would take ten percent as commission and two and a half percent as other charges.

After this the balance of the booking will be transferred to the bank account of the hotel. It is alleged that despite booking a room in the hotel for several months, the company did not kill Bhagutan. Instead of transferring money to the account, the hotelier got only the assurance.
