Fierce firing in Mexico 19 people dead
Mexico City, ANI. Firing broke out between suspected drug cartel members and security forces near the Texas border in eastern Mexico.
19 people have died in this shootout. Earlier, officials said 14 people were killed. Four police officers, two civilians, and 13 suspected druggers were among the dead.
Cohenula Governor Miguel Angel Richelme Solis was quoted by CNN as saying that six people were injured.
The governor said the firing lasted for an hour. The incident unfolded in Texas, where firefight erupted between security forces and suspected members of the Northeast Cartel in Villa Union Town, southwest of the US border town of Eagle Pass.
Governor Solis said officers had recovered 14 vehicles with powerful weapons. cordoned off.
He further said that this criminal group had long wanted to enter the Coahuila state.
