After spending one year dating and 71 years of married life happily and with each other, 94-year-old Herbert and 88-year-old Merlin Francis said goodbye to this world on Friday. There was only 12 hours difference in both deaths.

72 years ago Love Story

According to a report, Herbert Delaigal’s story began in a cafe about 72 years ago. Delayal was 22 years old, while Marilyn was only 16 years old. Marilyn used to work in that cafe and Herbert went there to meet some of his friends.

When his eyes fell on Marilyn, he kept looking at it. After a while thinking about it, Herbert asked to go on a date and agreed to Marlin. On the first date, both of them watched the film together, one year later, Herbert propagated Marilyn for marriage and thus both of them got married.

Six years in Germany

After marriage Marilyn Dagel spent six years in Germany with her husband. He also served in the army during World War II. Herbert also worked in Korea and Vietnam and retired from the army after 22 years of service.

The couple lived in the family of 25 children of grandchildren, with six children and 16 grandchildren. On Monday, the couple’s funeral was organized very simply, in which all the people including relatives were involved. The love story of both was not only popular among friends and relatives but also in nearby areas.
