
Emergency declared in New York, UN workers are allowed to work from home

United Nations Agency. To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, employees at the United Nations headquarters in New York City will be required to work from home from 16 March to 12 April. UN Secretary-General Stephen’s spokesman, Dujarik, said he should work from home unless his presence at the workplace was mandatory.
On the other hand, a state of emergency has been declared in New York City in the US in view of the outbreak of Corona. Dujardin has said that all employees should remain connected to the workplace through telecommunications unless their physical presence is considered necessary. The spokesperson said that after three weeks we will assess the need to maintain a low level of staff in the building.
