A new study has been done about the harm from e-cigarettes offered with the claim of a safe alternative to traditional cigarettes. It found that the use of e-cigarettes may increase the risk of lung diseases such as asthma and bronchitis (respiratory tract infections). According to researchers from the University of California at the US, the findings have been based on a study conducted on e-cigarettes and tobacco consumption for about 32 thousand people for three years.
Professor Stanton Glantz, associated with this study, said, “Even after controlling tobacco intake, those who used e-cigarettes found almost three times the risk of lung disease.
