Due to global warming, 650 glaciers of the Himalayas are threatening, these glaciers are constantly melting. If the glacier melts at this speed, in the coming years, most of the Himalaya glaciers will turn into water.

Due to the increasing water, the people on the ground will face more problems. Scientists studied to detect climate change. Such stories have come up in such a study based on satellite data of 40 years.

A study published on Wednesday in Science Advances concluded that the Himalayan glaciers are losing 1.5 feet of snow every year since 2000. In this way, the Himalayan ice is melting at a much faster pace than the last 25 years.

In recent years, so much snow has melted by glaciers in a year, this has created about 8 billion tons of water. The authors of the study described it as equal to the amount of water held by the 3.2 million Olympic-sized swimming pool.

In this study, scientists have pointed towards the threat of global warming. So far the glaciers were called the water tower. At the same time, these glaciers were considered to be an insurance policy for people in places where there was drought, but the danger of the glaciers being melting was doubling the danger.

In February, a report produced by the International Center for Integrated Mountain Development warned that by the end of the century, the Himalayas could lose up to one-third of its snow.

In the last 150 years, the average global temperature has already increased by 1 degree. Scientists estimate that by the end of this century, the average global temperature will increase from 3 to 5 degree Celsius.

Another study published in Nature in May found that the Himalayas glaciers are melting rapidly in the summer because they are being re-formed by snow in winter.

In hot weather, melting ice from the mountains are found in the rivers, due to which the level of water is increasing there. So far these crops are being irrigated with water coming out of these glaciers.

They also get drinking water and irrigation is also being done from them. The retreat of glaciers is one of the most frightening consequences of the increasing global temperature. Throughout the world, the disappearing glaciers mean that the quantity of water will be reduced to the next, for people, livestock and crops.

In the Himalayas, there are two serious hazards due to the destruction of glaciers. In a short time, the melting glaciers make small ponds on the mountain, if they increase the amount of water it will cause more damage.

The small village settled here will end. The loss of glacier ice in the long term means that the loss of water of Asia’s future water. If these glaciers are not stepped in to prevent melting, then it will be very difficult to provide water in the long run for excessive heat and drought.

The latest study led by the researchers of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at the University of Columbia, the recently undeclared US.

Detective satellite data, depending on the analysis of satellite images of 650 glaciers at a distance of 6000 kilometres or more than 600 miles of the Himalayas. Researchers changed the images to 3D models, which show changes in the area and quantity of glaciers.

They found that from 1975 to 2000, glaciers throughout the region lost 10 inches ice every year. Their melt began in 2000. Now the rate of multiple losses has doubled, every year approximately 20 inches of ice is melting water.

This study also concludes. Burning by fuel contributes to the melting of the ice. The big factor responsible for the melting of these glaciers was the rise of temperature, while the temperature in the vast mountain range was higher than the average.

Compared with earlier years, glaciers are melting rapidly between 2000 and 2016, the result is visible. Scientists are very worried about melting the Himalayan glaciers.
