DTCP gives invalid guest houses licenses or faces warnings in Gurugram

Deficiency of rules for establishing guest houses can not be good news for nearly 1,000 people DTCP working illegally in the city.

DTCP told that if these guest houses do not want to stop, they will have to apply for a license.

According to a senior official, the notice is likely to be issued soon to restore the property in its residential form, otherwise,Its owners will have to face strict procedures.

On Saturday, DTCP reduced the minimum required size of plot size from 1000 square yards to 500 sq yards in order to make guest houses in residential areas.

It also removed the number of guest houses allowed in the residential area.

According to the previous rules, these facilities can be on less than 1000 square meters of land.

In Hooda and other areas, the area is 150 to 500 square yards, so any guest house or PG will be illegal.

According to sources, in the past few years have experienced areas like DLF 1, 2, 3 and Sushant Lok 1 and other areas of many guest houses.

According to the thick estimates, the annual income of illegal guest houses is Rs 300 crore, which has resulted in a huge decline in the state’s treasury.

DTCP director KM Pandurang said, “After the new policy, the department will conduct a survey to identify illegal guest houses.”

According to a survey conducted in 2017, Hooda identified around 300 illegal patents – 200 under the jurisdiction of the second.

The owners of the guest house execute business activities without any fees from residential properties.
