Doubt between farmers and government on January 15 after Supreme Court verdict

Read Time:2 Minute, 35 Second

Although the Supreme Court has put a ban on the three new agricultural laws of the Modi government, the agitation of the agitating farmers has not stopped yet. On Wednesday, on the occasion of Lohri, agitating farmers burnt copies of the disputed agricultural law.

Meanwhile, it has not yet been clear whether the next phase of talks with the central government will be held on January 15. On Wednesday, 50 days of farmers’ demonstrations on the borders along Delhi were completed.

Farmers’ organizations are firm on their demand that the controversial agricultural laws should be scrapped. Along with this, farmers are also demanding that their produce should get minimum support price i.e. MSP and a mandatory law should be made for this. Till now eight steps have been held with the Central Government to resolve these disputes, but all have failed.

This week, the Supreme Court has currently suspended all three agricultural laws

set up a committee to resolve the disputes. Regarding this, the central government is also trying to bring things afresh at its level. There is doubt as to whether the proposed talks will be held with farmers on 15 January. The Ministry of Agriculture says that no decision has been taken yet. Farmer unions say that they have not been given any notice about the cancellation of the talks. They say that there is no new update on the talks at Vigyan Bhawan on Friday.

Doubt between farmers Yogendra Yadav, head of Swaraj India, who is playing an active role in the peasant movement, has said that there is nothing new in the order of the Supreme Court. Yogendra Yadav said, “Until the committee’s report comes, the agricultural law will be suspended for two months and later it will be implemented with a different interpretation.”

Farmers unions have already refused to participate in the committee’s process. Farmers’ unions say that all members of the committee have been praising the three agricultural laws of the Modi government. A member of the committee, Pramod Kumar Joshi has told ‘The Hindu’ that while on the panel, he will not allow his personal opinion to come in the way.

Joshi has said, “We will work in the committee with an open mind. Doubt between farmers ” There is nothing wrong in this that all the members of the committee are supporting the agricultural law. Judges have their own understanding and can decide independently. ”

On Republic Day, many kinds of questions are also being raised about the tractor parade of farmers.

Darshan Pal Singh, president of the Revolutionary Farmers Union, has said, “We will definitely take out a parade on the occasion of Republic Day in Delhi.” But our intention is not to disrupt the official parade on Republic Day. We have said very strictly that there is no place for violence in the movement.

Darshan Pal Singh told the English newspaper The Hindu, “We will leave with the national flag. This will be given in more detail after the meeting on 15 January.
