India’s veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be with the soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir for 15 days. He will be associated with the activities of the soldiers from July 31 to August 15. During this time, he will spend time with 106 Territorial Army battalions (Para).

This unit is stationed in Kashmir and is part of Victor Force. Dhoni will patrol, guard and post duty during this time. Let the 38-year-old Dhoni tell the BCCI that he will not be available for any kind of cricket for two months.

Dhoni said he would spend time with the soldiers. Dhoni is also not part of Team India for the West Indies tour. In 2011, the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel was handed to the former Indian captain. Since then only he was trained.

He had a long session in the IPL, and despite the injury, he had played in the World Cup, so now he has felt that taking the break is important for him. After which he decided to stay with the soldiers.

Dhoni is the Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army. With the news of Dhoni’s stay away from the West Indies tour, news of his retirement was also taking hold. However, Captain Virat Kohli made it clear that the team management has not received any information from him about Dhoni’s future.

A close source said, “Like Dhoni is one of the greatest servants of Indian cricket, his love for the army is well known. He had been thinking of spending time with his regime for a long time, but due to cricket, he was unable to do so.

His unit is part of Victor Force in the Avantipora of South Kashmir, in the Kashmir Valley, which has been the center of terrorist activities for the past few years.

Dhoni became a qualifying paratrooper in 2015. He had jumped five times the parachute from the aircraft in the training camp in Agra based training camp.
