Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, Thanedar of Bankmod, was getting ready for duty at around 10 am on Tuesday. Then a call from an employee of Muthoot Finance came on his mobile. Told that some dacoits have entered the office. The manager has been slapped and hit with the butt of the knife. On hearing this, Inspector Pramod Singh, as he was unprepared, along with his Munshi Gautam, Bodyguard Uttam and Sepoy Prem Prakash set out on foot for the spot.

As soon as he reached near Muthoot Finance’s office, located just 150 meters away from the police station, two criminals holding a front from the first floor started firing at him. SHO Pramod Singh, defending himself, immediately retaliated. The bullet hit the criminal directly on the head and he collapsed there. After this his companions started running away. By running, the Thanedar and his associates reached the first floor. Meanwhile, they had to use force to control the two dacoits. Here, taking advantage of the opportunity, two dacoits ran away.
