Read Time:1 Minute, 57 Second

This year’s November cold in Delhi could break several decades of records. The month’s average minimum temperature is expected to fall by up to two degrees. The maximum and minimum temperatures will also fall further. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the main reason for this is the lack of western disturbances. According to the Meteorological Department, winter in the capital Delhi falls in the three months of December, January and February only. It is mild cold in November.

The average maximum temperature of this month is also 28.2 degrees Celsius, while the average minimum temperature is 12.9 degrees Celsius, but it has come down to one and a half degrees at 11.4 during 18 days. The minimum temperature in November does not usually go to single digits, but this time everything is happening. According to the Meteorological Department, in the coming days, the minimum temperature will be further reduced.

Broken 6-decade record, increasing cold due to lack of western disturbance

This is the first time in 67 years that December is feeling cold like early December. According to meteorologists, the minimum temperature in the first fortnight of this month is around 14 to 15 degree Celsius, but this time it has gone up to 10 degree. It is likely to go nine degrees this weekend.

No clouds due to cold

Meteorologists say that this time the clouds are not the main reason behind premature and excess cold. If there are clouds, the radiation emanating from the earth and the sun does not spread in the atmosphere. In this case, the temperature rises, while the radiation spreads when there is no cloud. Apart from this, the absence of western disturbance is also promoting cold. Another cause of increasing cold is the effect of La Lina. La Lina is in a relatively weak position this year compared to last year. Even in this situation, it gets cold.

Many records can be broken by cold

Mahesh Palawat, Chief Meteorologist, Skymet Weather, of Skymet Weather chief meteorologist, says that the cold is likely to be cold this year. It is also seen since the beginning of November. Such low temperatures never go away in early November. Cold wave is also expected to occur by the end of the month. There is a possibility that this month can break many records.
