Delhi Violence: Big decision of the government, CBSE postpone 10th and 12th exams; New date sheet released

Communal violence erupted on Monday in several areas of north-east Delhi to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). In Khajuri, Chandbagh, Mustafabad, Maujpur, Babarpur, Jaffarabad area, a large number of protesters were protesting through stone-pelting and firing on the streets. Many of the schools in these areas were made examination centers. The government has postponed all the schools in East Delhi in terms of security. The examination of other classes along with the board has been postponed in all schools.

In this regard, the Deputy CM and the Education Minister said that there will be no home examinations of schools and all government and private schools will be closed tomorrow in the violence-affected North East district in Delhi. Regarding the board exams, I have spoken to HRD Minister @DrRPNishank ji that tomorrow’s board exam in this district should also be postponed.

Examination of 12th and 10th was done on Monday

On Monday, physical education of 12th and tenth children were conducted for Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and other languages examinations. In such a situation, the students reached the school safely in the morning, but after noon the situation started deteriorating due to which there was an atmosphere of fear among the teachers, students and their families.

Protestors set fire to two schools

In this violence, where the protesters set shops and houses on fire, including Adarsh Lakhpat School, RP Model School, on Khajuri Karaval Nagar Road, the head constable of Delhi Police also died. In view of this, the Directorate of Education of the Government of Delhi has decided to postpone the annual examination of all classes in schools located in North-East Delhi area as a precaution.

Children test in an environment of fear

Education director Binay Bhushan said that arson and sabotage have occurred in many areas of north-east Delhi. The situation there is not normal. Children took the test in an atmosphere of fear. Due to which any children, teachers and staff can be harmed.

The situation in many areas of North-East Delhi is uncontrolled

Therefore, wherever the examination is being done in the areas of North-East Delhi, the examination will not be conducted until the situation becomes normal. The dates of the examination will be carried forward. Bhushan said that the Deputy Director of Education in the north-eastern region has been asked to instruct the heads of all the government, government-aided and private schools in the district to not conduct the examination until the situation becomes normal. . However, no such decision has been taken by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding the exam. According to the CBSE, these exams were conducted successfully.

Tomorrow’s examination of class VII, VIII and 11th postponed

Directorate of Education Examination Vibha issued a circular saying that the examination to be held on February 25 of classes VII, VIII and 11th has been postponed. The directorate has released new dates in the circular.

This is new dates –

Class 7: – Sanskrit / Urdu – lll / Punjabi (17-03-2020)

Class 8: – Urdu-l (14-03-2020)

Class 11: – Physics / History (23-03-2020)

CBSE late night tweet to the information

At the same time, CBSE tweeted late night that on Tuesday, there are only 12 class exams for four vocational subjects in 18 centers in the western part of Delhi. There are no centers in the north eastern part of Delhi in the examination to be held on Tuesday.

Children’s safety is threatened due to violence

On the other hand, teachers have also demanded cancellation of the board examination under such circumstances. Teacher Shakti Manch tweeted on social media that thousands of teachers including lakhs of students are also stranded due to violence in many areas of East Delhi. In such a situation, they should be brought home by ensuring their safety and in such a situation the schools should be closed and the examination should be canceled. At the same time, General Secretary of the Government School Teachers Association, Ajay Vir Yadav said that violence in East Delhi area is very condemnable. Examination on Monday in the affected areas should be canceled. Students and teachers should be transported safely.

CBSE said-

We have spoken to the Delhi Police in view of the serious situation in Delhi. The police has assured to conduct the board examinations without any interruption. Our exams will be held at the scheduled examination center at the scheduled time. Things should be normal for two days.

Examinations of other classes are also deferred along with board classes of schools under Delhi government. There will be no examination from Tuesday. When the situation becomes normal then the examination will be conducted.
