Delhi Pollution: Despite improvement in pollution, Delhi-NCR is still in red zone

Read Time:1 Minute, 31 Second

There is a mild relief from air pollution on Saturday in Delhi-NCR compared to other days, but it remains in a very poor category in terms of health. Along with Delhi, dozens of NCR cities including Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram are running in the red zone in terms of pollution. Due to this, people have mentioned health related problems, in which irritation in eyes is common with difficulty in breathing. At the same time, the condition of Delhi-NCR due to air pollution was very bad on Friday. Delhi’s air quality level improved slightly on Friday compared to Thursday. Despite this, its air index was recorded in the critical category itself. According to the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, where Delhi’s air quality level was 450 on Thursday, it improved marginally by 44 points on Friday and reached 406. Right there Noida was the most polluted city than Delhi. The PM 2.5 level reached 600 here.

At the same time, Saar India, an air quality index monitoring body run by the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences, says that the smoke of the straw is being poisoned in Delhi and NCR air in other states including Punjab and Haryana.

It is different that on Friday, the share of stubble smoke in Delhi’s pollution has come down from 42 per cent to half, ie 21 per cent. According to Safar India, the incidents of stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana so far have been recorded at 3,225.

Saffar India says that along with the reduction in minimum temperature, low wind speed has also increased Delhi-NCR pollution. If the wind speed decreases or decreases, the problem of air pollution will become serious in Delhi. In this way, it will not be good for health, especially for the elderly and children.
