Delhi News: NDMC Decided to Beauty Delhi Roads and Will Look Like Foreign Roads

The roads of Lutyens’ Delhi will now not only be full of greenery, but they will also be reliable. For this, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to beautify two roads at present, including the roads of Mandi House area as well as Kasturba Gandhi Marg. These areas will not have open-air cafeterias but will also have facilities for charging e-vehicles. The furniture on the street will be such that people will be able to hold their necessary meetings in an open environment with an open Wi-Fi facility.

NDMC member told NDMC area are already beautiful. This area is now being developed into a smart city, and we are moving towards making the two roads world-class. All preparations have been made for Mandi House while a decision has to be taken regarding the design of Kasturba Gandhi Marg.

The first work is to start in the Mandi House area in which the roads connecting the Mandi House roundabout are to be beautified. Around the Mandi House roundabout, these roads will not only look beautiful but will look like roads in developed countries in the world.

Mandi House is the bastion of art and culture

As Mandi House stronghold of art and culture, the decision taken by NDMC is clear to change the look and feel of the road. The road is in the connection with major institutes like Triveni Kala Sangam, Lalit Kala Akademi as well as National School of Drama (NDC). Here many groups of youths can often be seen putting a quartet on the side of the road. In such a situation, beautification of this area is being done so that these youth can get a better environment, as well as the new artists, stay in a clean and healthy environment.

Work will start from February

NDMC has prepared the complete plan of Mandi House roundabout. In which the primary part of Barakhamba Road, Gol Market Road, Tansen Marg, Sikandra Road, Bhagwan Das Road, and Copernicus Marg is to be beautified.  They are also considering on the facilities like a cycle track, cafeteria, footpath, attractive lighting, street furniture. Its work is to start next month. NDMC has issued orders to the agency to work by making a complete action plan.

– Lighting will be done which will be able to sit here till late evening.

– There will also be a cafeteria and stalls of delicious dishes

– There will be a dedicated cycle track to get out of the roundabout

– Mobile and laptop charging facilities will also be available.
