Delhi Lockdown: Deteriorating conditions in Delhi, Kejriwal meets Amit Shah; Lockdown may occur again

Read Time:2 Minute, 31 Second

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday amid Corona crisis in the capital. It is believed that in view of the deteriorating situation in Delhi, a lockdown can be imposed again here. After meeting Amit Shah, Kejriwal tweeted that he discussed in detail the growing infection of the corona virus with the Home Minister. He assured cooperation.

The government is doing a deep review regarding the patients coming daily

The concern of the Delhi government has increased since people from other states were allowed treatment in Delhi. In Delhi itself, patients are constantly increasing and beds in private hospitals are almost full. Preparations are now being made to run the hospital in banquet halls, hotels and stadiums. A senior Delhi government official says that the government is monitoring the situation and is reviewing the patients daily. If necessary, the government will decide on the lockdown.

Government is under stress due to fast growing corona patients

However, the government has been saying that the corona virus is not going to go away. In such a situation, a major economic crisis can arise in front of both the government and the public due to the discontinuation of business activities. But after the people of other states were given treatment exemption in Delhi, the government has come under stress about the patients of Corona growing rapidly. The government is worried about where the beds will come from. The government is also saying that the corona virus community in Delhi is at the stage of transmission. However, the central government has the right to take a decision in this regard.

Dispute between Delhi Government and LG

Let me tell you that in the last few days, there was a dispute between Delhi government and LG also regarding Corona, however, later CM Kejriwal made it clear that this is the time to serve the people of Delhi. There should be no place for those doing politics during this difficult situation arising out of Corona virus.

This is the latest situation of Delhi

Let us know that on Wednesday also, there has been a record increase in Corona cases in Delhi. 1501 cases have been reported even today. With this, the total number of infected in Delhi has crossed 32 thousand.

Why is Delhi’s condition worrisome

On Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had expressed concern that by July 31, Corona would have five and a half million patients in Delhi. Delhi will need around 80,000 beds during that difficult time. He said after the Delhi Disaster Management Authority meeting at Lt. Governor Anil Baijal’s residence that corona cases are doubling in the capital in about 12 to 13 days.

Understand why the deputy CM expressed concern

Manish Sisodia said that according to the data that has been submitted now, by June 30, Corona patients will need 15,000 beds in Delhi. By July 15, 33 thousand and by 31 July 80 thousand beds will be needed.
