Delhi Coronavirus News Updates: A quarter of the population has defeated Corona in Delhi

Read Time:1 Minute, 50 Second

On the one hand, while the management of the war from Corona in Delhi is looking strong, in the survey of the third week of June, it is also coming out that resistance is being created among the people to fight it. This information has been revealed from a sero-survey conducted in Delhi. The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has denied reaching the status of herd immunity in Delhi, even after receiving corona antibodies in a large population. NCDC director Dr SK Singh said that three-fourths of the population is still alive from the virus and the risk of getting infected remains intact.

Endobodies found in 23.48 percent of samples

According to Dr. SK Singh, blood samples of 21,387 people from all 11 districts were tested from Delhi. Of these, 23.48 per cent of the samples were found to have endobodies of the corona virus. This shows that these people have sometimes been infected with the corona virus and antibodies against it have also been made in their body. But they did not know about it. According to Dr. SK Singh, the purpose of the survey was to find out how much population the corona virus has spread. However, the presence of antibodies to corona was also found in different districts. It was found in over 27 percent of the population in Shahdara, Central Delhi and North East districts. In the South-West district, it reached the lowest 13.83 percent population.

It takes seven to 10 days to develop antibodies to combat the corona virus.

According to NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul, the survey data shows the situation in Delhi around June 18-20. According to him, it takes seven to 10 days to produce antibodies against the corona virus. Apparently, after 27 June, whose blood sample found antibodies to corona, they would have got the infection from 18 to 20 June. At the same time, Dr. SK Singh made it clear that on the basis of the data of this survey, the number of people infected with corona in Delhi cannot be estimated at present.
