Have to shape the waist and reduce the increasing weight, as well as avoid seasonal diseases and never have to face any serious disease in life… if you also want to fulfill so many wishes at once. If you have healthy lifestyle, then correct the amount of Cumin Seeds in your diet. Health will improve on its own. Learn here how cumin alone does so many things for our health.

Most of the tempering in Indian kitchens are incomplete without cumin seeds. Routine diet items like lentils and vegetables seem incomplete without cumin. Along with the taste, cumin contains 12 percent protein, 11 percent fiber, 33 percent carbohydrates, 11 percent starch and 15 percent fat.

Cumin is antiinflammatory and carminative, which removes the gas produced in the stomach. It is helpful in relieving stomach and digestive problems like jaundice, diarrhea, indigestion and gas.

Cumin is also considered to be a cancer-defending spice. Because it acts like antioxidants and the properties found in it do not allow cancer-promoting cells to flourish in our body.

Diabetes patients have higher blood sugar levels. Due to this, insulin also increases in their body. While regular use of cumin helps control the amount of glucose produced in our body. In this way, cumin benefits the patients of sugar.

Cumin also works to reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels in our body. Increasing the amount of these two is harmful for our heart health. According to a research published in the journal ‘Complimentary Therapies in Clinical Practice’, regular intake of cumin reduces the amount of fasting cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL (bad cholesterol) and increases the amount of good cholesterol.

Those who are troubled by their increasing weight or waist size, cumin and its powder should be used regularly in daily diet. Because it contains both fiber and starch. Both of these work to strengthen our digestive system and the process of accumulating extra fat in the body automatically slows down. This keeps the waist in shape and in weight control.

According to a report by the Journal of Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, both cumin and mulethi are effective herbs to relieve phlegm. Cumin seeds, like liquorice, also have antimicrobial properties, which control the amount of phlegm in the body and help to prevent viral infections such as colds.
