Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, among other Indian cricketers, have also reiterated their appeal to the countrymen to stay in their homes.

Virat Kohli wrote in Hindi and English respectively on his Twitter handle, ‘As announced by our Honorable Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji, the entire country is going into lockdown from midnight for the next 21 days. My request will remain the same, please be present at home. #DocialDistancing is the only cure for Kovid 19.
Sachin Tendulkar tweeted, ‘Simple things are often difficult, as they require constant discipline and determination. Honorable PM @ Narendra Modi ji has asked us to stay in the house for 21 days. This simple task can save the lives of millions. Let us all unite in this war against #COVID19.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly also urged everyone to stay at home and said that citizens of the world should listen to their government. Ganguly said in a video message, ‘Let’s fight it together. We will overcome this. Be smart and don’t try things. Listen to what the government says.

India’s star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also tweeted in support of the move. He wrote, ‘Indians should stay at home for 3 weeks. Now instead of mourning, let us follow the instructions and give our opinion.
