Covid-19: Government worried over 5,000 deaths in South Africa, urges people to cooperate
Johannesburg, PTI. The list of countries affected by the Corona virus is changing every day. South Africa has now reached number five in this list. The number of infected people has reached 3 lakh 73 thousand 628 here. At the same time the death toll has crossed 5 thousand. In such a situation, the country’s Health Minister Jweli Makhis (Minister Zweli) has appealed to the people to unite in this time of crisis. The minister appealed to the people and said that the government is fighting against this virus, all people should cooperate with them by following all necessary precautions in the hour of this crisis.
He said that the government has made all the arrangements to deal with this virus so that this infection does not spread quickly, but without your cooperation this government cannot unilaterally win this battle. Therefore every citizen has to follow the guidelines issued by the government. He said that in view of the increasing transition, some measures have been prescribed, which we will have to follow.
Along with this, emphasis has also been laid on social distancing in the country. He said that there are increasing cases in the country, but some people are still not following social distancing and are not wearing masks. Along with this, they are not even washing their hands from time to time. He said that in such a situation there is a complete possibility of the infected people increasing. So we have to follow all these rules.
