Coronavirus: Malasiya Government Supports China, Starts Charity Program
Malaysia’s Sabah state government and local communities held a charity event in North Borneo late Tuesday to support China against the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). According to the report of the news agency Xinhua, the foundation stone of We Love, We Care organized by the Sabah State Government and Chinese Associations took place.
The Chinese Consul General of Kota Kinabalu, Liang Caid, who was present at the event, commended the people and government of Sabah for their support to China in the current COVID-19 outbreak. Liang said that the friendship between China and the State of Sabah will certainly deepen for the bright future of the two sides, as long as Sabah welcomes more Chinese tourists, cooperation and exchanges between China and the State of Sabah.
Addressing the event, Sabah Chief Minister Shafi Appal said that Malaysia was a friend to China, not only in prosperous times but also in times of need. We support the Chinese government and the people of China. This is the world and us.
