Seoul, IANS. South Korea has reported 114 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19). This has brought the number of active people to 7,869. However, five other people have died. The death figure has risen to 66. Apart from this, 45 more people have been discharged from Quarantine.
According to the Xinhua Neuse Agency, a total of 333 people have recovered so far and have been discharged from the hospital. The Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) decided to update the data once a day from 10 March local time.

Between 19 February and 11 March, 7,838 patients have been confirmed here. 90 percent of the cases have been reported in Daegu and its surrounding northern Gyeongsang Province. There are 5,867 patients in Daegu and 1,143 in Gyeongsang. The country has topped the virus alert at the ‘red’ level.

The number of patients in Seoul and its nearby Gyonggi province is 212 and 178 respectively. Daegu is the epicenter of the virus. This is where the virus has spread throughout the country. The government has declared it as a special treatment zone. Since January 3, the country has tested more than 234,000 people, of which 209,402 people have not confirmed the infection.
