Jose Luis Alomía, director of epidemiology at the Ministry of Health, said the death toll from COVID-19 in Mexico rose to 947 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 24,324. Apart from this, he said on Wednesday that during the last 24 hours, 5,473 cases of Corona virus were reported, taking the total cases to 196,847. Alomiya said in a television interview, ‘To date, 196,847 people have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and as they have shown symptoms of COVID-19, we consider them as confirmed cases. ‘

The day before, the Latin American nation reported 6,288 new cases of corona virus. The figure was 793 who died.
