Geneva, agency. Coronavirus World Health Organization (WHO) said that China is taking satisfactory steps to combat dangerous viruses like SAARC. The organization has expressed confidence that this will help reduce its risk internationally. WHO Director-General Tedros Adnom Ghebreyes, citing the drastic measures taken by Beijing, said that all trains and air travel in Wuhan, with a population of 10 million, have been stopped.

Experts and scientists of affected countries are also involved

On Wednesday, WHO, concerned about the growing outbreak of Coronavirus in China, convened an emergency meeting in Geneva today to discuss. However, in this meeting it was being said that the WHO could declare an international health emergency. The LAKIP organization expressed satisfaction with China’s efforts. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang attended the emergency meeting of the International Health Regulation (IHR) called by the WHO in Geneva.

The meeting was also attended by experts and scientists from countries who were affected by it. Significantly, during the outbreak of Ebola and swine flu in the past, the WHO had declared an emergency that required an international effort.

China imposed strict restrictions

On the other hand, local residents in Wuhan city of China are banned from traveling. China has banned all public transport, including flights into and out of Wuhan. Coronavirus began to spread from Wuhan city itself. There have been 17 deaths and 571 cases in China so far. Most of these cases are from Wuhan and surrounding areas. In addition, the stoppage of flights and trains departing from Wuhan has also been banned.

The city’s municipal government has issued a notice to wear masks in public places. Cases of the virus have so far been detected in the US, South Korea, Japan and Thailand. The US announced on Tuesday that the first case of coronavirus has been detected in the country.
