Extensive preparations are being done by the state government with a lockdown to prevent corona infection. Under this, people coming from abroad or other states of the country have been advised to stay in home quarantine for 28 days, not 14 days. Under no circumstances will they have to get out of the house in case of cold, fever or any other health related problem. They have been asked to call the government’s toll-free helpline number 104. When needed, an ambulance will be sent to the hospital by the government.

In a press conference held here, Mrs. Shalini Pandit, director of NRHM, has said that whoever has returned from abroad or other state in the last 14 days will have to stay in quarantine for 28 days in their home. During this time, they will also have to keep a distance of 1 meter from their family member. After the 14-day quarantine period is over and the person who is 14 days stay, will have to know their health status by staying at home. During this time, if there are any health related problems, then they do not have to leave their house.

The samples whose test will come negative will be sent to their house. However, that person will have to stay in his house for 14 days with his family members by making a distance of 1 meter and stay in his house to take care of his health. With this, he will be able to protect himself and his family. Along with this, Mrs. Pandit has requested people to strictly follow the lockdown rule and maintain social reprehensibility.

Kovid 19 spokesperson of the state government, Subrata Bagchi, said that till today afternoon, a sample of 900 people have been tested in the state, out of which five have been found to be corona positive. One person has returned home after recovering completely. Bagchi has said that of the 20 passengers who came to Odisha from Hazrat Nizamuddin, 17 reported negative.
