Corona virus has airlifted 5 foreign nationals including 119 Indians from a cruise ship standing on the coast of Japan. All the citizens arrived in New Delhi on Thursday morning by Air India special aircraft. Apart from Indian citizens from Japan, citizens of Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa and Peru have also been brought.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar thanked Japanese officials for helping evacuate Indians from the Diamond Princess cruise ship. He tweeted, ‘Air India flight has just landed from Tokyo to Delhi. Corona virus has brought 119 Indians stranded on Japan’s cruise ship Diamond Princess and 5 civilians from Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa and Peru. He has also praised Air India for this.

On the other hand, the Indian Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster aircraft from Wuhan, China, with 36 foreigners and 112 Indian nationals arrived in Delhi at 6.45 am. All people will be taken to the ITBP quarantine facility in Chawla, Delhi after thermal screening. Citizens returning from Wuhan included citizens of Bangladesh, Myanmar, Maldives, South Africa, the US, and Madagascar. Earlier this aircraft had arrived with necessary medical supplies from India to the city of Wuhan, China, which was most affected by the corona virus.

A total of 3,711 people aboard the cruise ship Diamond Princess, standing on the coast of Japan. All these people were kept isolated since February 5 due to the possibility of corona virus infection. Of the 138 Indians on the ship, 132 were crew members and 6 passengers. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that the remaining Indians are being treated in Japan.

Please tell that due to Corona virus more than 80 thousand people have been infected in 37 countries. Due to this, more than 2,600 people have died so far. Earlier this month, India evacuated 640 civilians from Wuhan, the capital of the Chinese province of Hubei.
