New Delhi, ANI. Air India special aircraft has arrived in Delhi carrying 324 Indians stranded in Wuhan, China due to Coronavirus havoc. The plane landed at Delhi’s IGI-T3 airport at 7:26 am after taking off from China. All were stranded in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, the worst affected by the corona virus.
The Indian Army has made great preparations to look after the people arriving from China to India. People will be taken from Delhi Airport to Chawla and Manesar in Haryana. They will be housed in the buildings of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Indian Arm Force Medical Services.
A 423-seater Boeing 747 aircraft from Air India was dispatched to bring back Indian citizens. According to the information, the number of Indians living in Hubei province is around 1,200. Another Air India aircraft can be sent to Wuhan today to bring the rest of the people present in China. At the same time, the death rate of corona virus in China has increased to 259. While more than 11 thousand cases have been reported.
The ITBP has set up a 600-bed separate center in Delhi to provide basic medical services to patients to infected Indians. Passengers arriving from China to India will be kept under observation of doctors for 14 days at the ITBP center in Chawla area of southwest Delhi. Special arrangements have been made for children and women at this center of patients suspected of infection.
Explain that five doctors and paramedical staff of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital were also present in the plane from which people were brought back. Apart from this, important medicines, masks, packets of canned food are also kept in the aircraft. The aircraft also had teams of engineers and security personnel.
More than 215 people from Gujarat also want to come from Wuhan. Most of them are students. The Gujarat government has informed them about this to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Beijing.
