Director of the National Center for Disease Control, Sujit Kumar said that in states where infection cases have increased, a different mutation profile has been detected.
This mutation of the virus has been found in about 15 to 20 percent of the samples, whereas it does not match the earlier varieties that produce anxiety.

Supreme Court worried over misuse of electoral bonds
The Supreme Court has expressed its concern over the possible misuse of electoral bonds.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court reserved its decision on a petition prohibiting the sale of new electoral bonds before the assembly elections in four states.
But a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Justice Bobde, hearing the petition, has asked the Central Government to examine it, expressing concern over the possible misuse of these bonds.
During the hearing on Wednesday, the bench asked that if a political party gets electoral bonds worth Rs 100 crore, then how will it be controlled that they will not be used for activities outside the political agenda and illegal activities?
Attorney General KK Venugopal, appearing for the Center in the case, said that since the introduction of the electoral bond scheme in 2018, there has been a ban on the use of black money in the electoral fund as no cash is being taken for it. These bonds can only be purchased through demand draft or check.
At the same time, the Election Commission said that it has not opposed these bonds, but had raised concerns about secrecy in it.
