Corona explosion triggered in Lucknow: CM Yogi told officers, there should be no place for mistakes
In the UP capital, Lucknow, there was a panic at the government level as soon as 392 corona infection cases came up in twenty four hours. Late Sunday evening, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath summoned senior officials of the government including health, medical education department, district administration. After meeting CM Yogi inquired from the authorities about the prevention and treatment of infection. Bluntly said that there should be no place for mistakes in this epidemic. Along with all the instructions, the Director of SGPGI has been asked to prepare the SOP for treatment.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a meeting held at his government residence on Sunday that the health department and administration should not take any kind of laxity or negligence in connection with the infection of Kovid-19. Contact tracing should be done at Lucknow district level to prevent the rate of infection. Door-to-door survey should not be confined. While giving instructions to increase the beds of Kovid to 200 in Lokbandhu Hospital, he said that human resources should be made available immediately as per the need.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inquired about the situation from the doctors in charge of Civil, Lokbandhu, Balrampur and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Directed the Director of SGPGI to visit Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences and meet with the in-charge of RML, Civil, Lokbandhu, Balrampur to develop an SOP for treatment of Kovid-19. He said that the Divisional Commissioner, Lucknow and Chief Medical Officer of Lucknow should attend this meeting. Then that SOP will be implemented across the state.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that people from every district of the state come to Lucknow for treatment. Special attention needs to be paid to control infection of Kovid-19 and communicable diseases during the rainy season. Health department and administration will have to work with alertness and vigilance. Make the police-administration aware of masks, physical distance, cleanliness etc. from the public address system in all 110 wards of Lucknow. Take enforcement action too strongly. Mask or face cover is also mandatory for customers in petrol pumps and commercial establishments. He also asked to consider placing the Kovid-19 infected person in home isolation.
Buy a new ambulance or get personal help: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the district administration should take the services of Asha worker, Anganwadi workers and others for door-to-door survey. Buy a new ambulance or hire a private ambulance as per your need. District administration should meet every week with Indian Medical Association and Nursing Association. Also, decide that the Kovid-Non Kovid patients should not stay in the holding area for more than 15 minutes. Hospitals in all districts should have adequate beds and dedicated teams should work.
Immediately appoint Chief Secretary DG Health: The post of Director General Health in the state is still running vacant. The other officer is given responsibility as caretaker. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the Chief Secretary RK Tiwari to appoint Director General Health immediately.
