China deploys troops in Wuhan, 500 killed, coronavirus spread in 27 countries
Beijing, agencies. China has deployed troops to Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, to combat the rapidly spreading coronavirus. From this city, this mysterious virus has spread to 27 countries all over the world including China. Around 230 cases have also been confirmed in these countries.
500 deaths due to coronavirus in China
The number of people who lost their lives in China has reached near 500. So far, more than 24 thousand people have been found infected. Out of China, one death has also taken place in Hong Kong and the Philippines.
The army took control of Huoshanshan Hospital in Wuhan
The temporary Huoshanshan hospital, built-in Wuhan in just nine days, is considered by the Chinese Army People’s Liberation Army (PLA) under its control. The Army has deployed 1400 staff in this hospital with a capacity of one thousand beds starting from Monday.
Deployment of army medical staff in other hospitals as well
Army medical staff has also been deployed in several other hospitals in the city. Many medical research institutes of the Army are involved in the study and preparation of the vaccine. On 29 January last, President Xi Chinping ordered the PLA to play its role in the prevention of the epidemic.
Taiwan bans those coming from China
Autonomous Taiwan has banned those coming from China. The government of Taiwan has said that people living in China will not be able to enter Taiwan from Thursday.
Cathay Pacific Airlines sent to staff on leave
Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific has sent all its staff on a three-week unpaid leave. The airline’s CEO announced this on Wednesday in view of the Coronavirus. This airline has about 27,000 employees.
The baby born 30 hours ago is also vulnerable to the virus
An infant was found infected with the coronavirus just 30 hours after birth in Wuhan. The infant who is vulnerable to the virus is said to be the youngest victim. The virus was confirmed in the woman before the birth of the baby.
Thousands of tourists stranded on two cruises, 13 confirmed virus
The fear of the Coronavirus has increased so much that thousands of passengers are not being allowed to land from two cruise ships. A cruise has been stopped near the Japan coast. There are about 3700 people on it. Japanese officials confirmed the virus was found in ten people aboard the Diamond Princess cruise. More than 1800 people are stranded on a cruise in Hong Kong. There have also been confirmed viruses among three people.
