Chief Selector Told How Wicket keeper Rishabh Pant Will Improve, Struggling On The Field

New Delhi All India Senior Selection Committee chairman MSK Prasad said here on Monday that a specialist would be appointed to improve the wicketkeeping of Rishabh Pant, who was struggling behind the wicket. Pant also worked under former Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More to improve wicketkeeping some time back. Pant took a number of catches in the third ODI against the West Indies on Sunday, after which he came under target of fans.
On the occasion of team selection, Prasad said that Pant will have to improve his wicketkeeping. We will hire a specialist wicketkeeping coach for that. The 22-year-old wicketkeeper is getting the full support of the team management but feels that Pant needs special attention. Due to Pant’s poor performance, the spectators present on the field during the home series against Bangladesh and West Indies were repeatedly taking Dhoni’s name. Captain Virat Kohli had said that taking Dhoni’s name in place of Pant would be humiliating for this young player.
