Assembly Election 2022 Change intensified as soon as assembly election were announced

With the announcement of the assembly elections, the game of anti-defection has started. The BJP MLAs started leaving the party and joined other parties, while MLAs of other parties joined BJP. On Tuesday, UP Minister Swami Prasad Maurya resigned from the BJP along with two MLAs.

The son of Punjab Chief Minister Arvind Khanna along with aunt of Punjab Lok Congress President Captain Amarinder Singh joined the BJP on Tuesday.  In Goa, Art and Culture Minister Govind Gowde resigned from the assembly membership. The process of changing parties is been seeing in Manipur as well. Manipur Congress MLA Chaltonlien Amo also resigned on Monday, a day after joining the BJP.

Swami Prasad Maurya resigns from the post of the minister and left BJP Party

In Lucknow Swami Prasad Maurya who was a close friend of Mayawati for a long time in the BJP government left the party just before the elections. After meeting Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday morning, he sent his resignation from the post of a cabinet minister to the governor. Swami Prasad Maurya is a well-known face in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. He was holding the post of Labor and Employment Minister in the Yogi government.

With the announcement of the election, the discussion of changing sides of many big leaders had intensified.  On Tuesday, all the big leaders including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP State President Swatantradev Singh left for Delhi to participate in the meeting. After Swami Prasad’s resignation from the cabinet post, it become clear that Roshan Lal would also leave the party. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Bhagwati Prasad Sagar from Bilhaur in Kanpur and Brijesh Kumar Prajapati, BJP MLA from Banda’s Tindwari seat also resigned.

Arvind Khanna, Congress MLA in Punjab joined BJP, Akali leader Gosha also went

On Tuesday Arvind Khanna joined BJP in Delhi. Arvind Khanna won the assembly elections from Sangrur in 2002 and Dhuri in 2012 on a Congress ticket. According to political experts, the entry of Arvind Khanna, who has access to a large section in Sangrur through his organization, will create many new equations in the politics of Sangrur and Barnala. At the same time, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has suffered a major setback in Ludhiana. The party’s youth wing district president and flamboyant leader Gurdeep Gosha on Tuesday left the Akali Dal and joined the BJP.

Goa minister resigns from Legislative Assembly to join BJP

After the resignations of two MLA’s in Goa art and culture Minister Govind Gowde on Tuesday resigned from the Legislative Assembly membership. The independent MLA said that he would soon join the BJP. Gowde said I have decided that I will fight the upcoming elections on BJP ticket.

The Goa Minister Michael Lobo and BJP MLA Praveen Jantye had resigned from the assembly on Monday.  In the last one month, four BJP MLAs have left the party, while three MLAs Ravi Naik of Congress, Rohan Khaunte, an independent, and Jayesh Salgaokar of Goa Forward have joined the BJP.
