Chandrayaan-2: NASA Orbiter Did Not Find Any Evidence Of Lander Vikram On The Moon, Said This
The latest information about India’s moon mission Chandrayaan-2 has been revealed by the US Space Agency NASA. NASA has said that no evidence of ISRO lander Vikram is visible in the photographs taken by its orbiter recently passed by the moon in his camera. This NASA orbiter passed through the same part of the moon where India had scheduled the landing of its Chandrayaan-2. Attempted Vikram’s soft landing at the South Pole.
Project Scientist Noa Edward Petro of NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission told PTI in a special email interaction that Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter passed through the same part of the moon to search for Chandrayaan-2 on 14 October where ISRO attempted to land its lander was doing. During this time some pictures were taken there, but in the new pictures we have not found any evidence of Lander Vikram.
