Kanhaiya Kumar's convoy attacked for the seventh time, stones thrown at the car

The convoy of CPI leader and former JNU Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar was attacked again on Tuesday. This time Gaya of Bihar has been attacked. During the attack, the car of a Congress leader involved in the convoy was also damaged. Organizers of ‘Jana Gana Mana Yatra’ claim that this is the seventh attack on the convoy in the last two weeks. The yatra, which began last month, will end a fortnight later with a huge rally in Patna. Kumar, who was later on stage with the opposition grand alliance leaders, criticized the Narendra Modi government over the divisive Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Hindustani Awam Morcha chief and former Chief Minister Jeetan Raat Manjhi, Congress MLA Shakeel Ahmed Khan and Awadhesh Kumar Singh also addressed a public meeting held at Sherghati in Gaya district. Before reaching the synagogue, some bike riders threw stones at the convoy on the way. In this, the lead of Avadhesh Kumar Singh’s car was broken. Party sources said that there was no loss to Singh. A complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard.

On the attack, Kanhaiya Kumar tweeted, today, on the thirteenth day of Jan-Gana-Man Yatra, meetings were held in Imamganj and Sherghati in Gaya district. The Goddess’ dastardly attacks on the yatra continue, but the caravan of love is heavy on these attacks.
