Team India’s star of spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who once learned the tricks of spin with a tennis ball. Ashwin turned 33 today (Tuesday). He was born on 17 September 1986 in Madras (now Chennai).

The ‘Firki’ which came out of the streets of Chennai created such a buzz in the world cricket that the biggest batsmen were seen to be battered. Yes! It is being talked about Ravichandran Ashwin, the star of the spinner of Team India, who once learned the tricks of spin with a tennis ball. Ashwin turned 33 today (Tuesday). He was born on 17 September 1986 in Madras (now Chennai).

Ashwin is currently out of the limited-overs format Indian team. On the one hand, they are getting tough competition from left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja, on the other hand, the pair of wrist spinners – Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav won the trust of the selectors. And now budding off-spinner Washington Sundar and leg-spinner Rahul Chahar want to try captain Virat Kohli.

Ashwin is in the 15-member Indian squad of the current Test series against South Africa. But it is not decided whether he will get a chance in the last-11 players of Team India in the Test series starting on 2 October.

Ashwin is out of five consecutive Test matches

Ashwin is out of five consecutive Tests. Last played in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. After taking a total of six wickets (3 + 3) in the Adelaide Test in December, he got injured on the fourth morning of the match. He could not play in the Perth and Melbourne Test after this because of a stomach strain on his left side. He was named among the 13 players for the final Test in Sydney, but he was not fed. After this, both of them remained out of the Test in the West Indies tour.
