Artificial Intelligence will forecast weather, scientists develop new algorithms

Scientists have developed an algorithm that can predict the weather with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

New York, Agency. With the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), scientists have developed an algorithm that can predict the weather. In one study, it has been claimed that through this, scientific warnings will be issued before storm and cyclone, which can reduce the loss of public money. The study, published in ‘IEEE IEEE Transaction on Geoscience and Remote Sensing’, has been reported that this model can help to quickly and accurately predict hurricanes.

Machine learning-based framework done

Researchers have developed a machine learning (ML) based framework that will detect the movement of the clouds through the satellite, which is generally not given much attention.

Steve Wister, a senior forensic meteorologist of climate research firm AccuWeather, said that the weather is most important for forecasting that we have more data.

To keep an eye on the atmosphere, we have been forecasting the weather by taking snapshots from the model and data we currently have. For this study, researchers analyzed more than 50,000 satellite images studying the US weather and marked them on the basis of the speed and size of clouds.

The strong connection of ‘Kauma’ with cyclone

Researchers say that the ‘cloud of shapes’ has a strong connection with the cyclone. Due to this, many severe weather conditions are created including hail, thunder, storm.

Researchers used a computer and machine learning (ML) technology to identify these clouds. Through this method, the researchers found success in finding the ‘cloud-shaped’ clouds easily. Through this, the computer-assisted scientists in collecting sea data as well as forecasting the situation of severe weather conditions.

64 percent better prediction possible

The author of this study and Rachel Kong of the Penn State University of America said that the crea-sized clouds remain present in the atmosphere as an indicator of the events of severe weather.

Our algorithms can help meteorologists to predict such incidents. Researchers said that through this method, 99 percent of the ‘moon-shaped’ clouds can effectively detect.

It can predict the events of severe weather in 64% better way than other existing methods. He said that this study is also an attempt to demonstrate the feasibility of the AI-based interpretation of weather information.
