WhatsApp Chat Between Arnab Goswami And ex BARC CEO Leaked Online

#ArnabGate: Screenshots of alleged WhatsApp chats by Arnab Goswami of Mumbai Republic TV and Partho Dasgupta, the then CEO of TV ratings agency Audience Research Council (BARC), have been in the news since Friday. It is being told that they are part of the 3600-page charge sheet of the Mumbai Police in the TRP scam.

After the arrest of Partho Dasgupta and Romil Ramgarhia, Republic TV illegally made number one , Mumbai Crime Branch Chief Milind Bharambe had said that the CIU had found important evidence against the two from the BARC server, proving that both these accused It hatched a conspiracy with Arnab Goswami and under this, Times Now was made from number 1 to number 2 and Republic TV was illegally made number one.

These chats also indicate that BARC officials were doing some manipulation to raise ratings in favor of Republic TV and Republic India. These screenshots also show that BARC officials were also explaining the strategy of increasing ratings to Republic TV. In return Arnab Goswami was giving important information to Dasgupta like the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, cabinet reshuffle and appointments of secretaries.

These chats show that Dasgupta and Arnab Goswami were in constant touch. Apart from this, chats between BARC chief operating officer Romil Ramgarhia and Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani have also come to light. Dasgupta is currently in Judicial custody, while Ramgarhia and Khanchandani are on the vine.

These chats also reveal that Dasgupta and Ramgarhia took advantage of their position and shared confidential information with Public TV. For example, these chats show that Dasgupta was guiding Goswami on programming and distribution issues, as well as asking Ramgarhia to tell Khanchandani where to increase the channel’s distribution.
